Introduction


Gujarat Center for Good Governance has been principally set-up vide GAD GR.No.TLM-102005-1247-ARTD-3 dated:4th March 2006 by Government of Gujarat initially as an autonomous unit of SPIPA. The Center is engaged in research, evaluation, documentation and Specialised training.

Functions of Gujarat Center for Good Governance

Study Good Governance practices and projects of different states and also at international level
To study Good Governance practices and projects at the state level and do its documentation
Wide publicity and broadcasting of Good Governance through out the state
Develop a network of different organizations and people working in the field of Good Governance in such a way that they are mutually benefited
Organize Seminars,Conferences,Workshops and Trainings on Good Governance
Prepare a web portal on Good Governance
Study different best practices done in Good Governance and then to prepare and implement an award scheme for those working towards the actualization of Good Governance.

Collector,Ahmedabad : Kishan Setu –Effective Scientific online Advice to farmers in 30 Villages.
Training component of UNDP-Planning Commission of India Project “Capacity Building for Human Development” aimed at training about 2600 Officers at State, District and Taluka level on a 2 day module and more than 18,000 village level officials on a one day satcom training program.
