SPIPA Campus- An Urban Biodiversity Hotspot

Greenery within the SPIPA campus creates a unique ambience and atmosphere for training. The campus matches with its green neighbourhood like ISRO & Sundervan. The garden has more than 100 species of herbs, shrubs & trees. This floral diversity attracts many animals & birds. The campus provides roosting, feeding and breeding habitat. It is interesting to note that the campus supports more than 30 species of birds.

Campus has flowering, shady, fruit and medicinal tree species. Some of the tree species which are rare for urban areas like Umaro, Mahudo, Teak, Shisham, Kher, Kanaji, Borsali, Behada, Charoli and Sevan are grown selectively, Good number of trees contribute to control the air temperature of the campus.
