Purpose and Introduction
Government of Gujarat has started CGRS Centre since April, 2013 at the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) Ahmedabad for imparting training to the youth of Gujarat who aspire to Central Government Class 1-2 Service.

About Entrance Examination
SPIPA Entrance Exam Advertisement published – Applications are invited from the eligible Candidates in the month June-July every year One English and one Guajarati Newspapers. Entrance Exam fee is RS. 300/- for General Category and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/SEBC/category Candidates. An objective type of written test is held at Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara and Mehsana in July for the eligible candidate.

Wrong answer or more than one answer in one question will carry 1/3 negative marks.
Final selection will be made from marks obtained out of total 200 Marks on category wise merit basis. Candidate are called for The term begins from 2nd week of August.

Facility
- Candidates will be given free wi-fi facility.
- Study Environment: If there is a group of around hundred students thriving for a single goal, Interaction amongst them fulfils their material plus psychological needs. SPIPA provides a platform for this team work. A campus of 8 acre area of land with plantations and rich grass plots creates a natural environment for study.
- Coaching: An integrated coaching which concentrates on a rich experience of lectures affiliated with SPIPA is helpful to students.
- Library: A rich Library of more than one lakh books equipped with the latest material and wide range of magazines and newspapers are also available.
- Activities: A series of MOCK TESTS on all the related topics to check the performance of the students are arranged regularly.
- Our Institute is Provide Wi-Fi facility to Our CGRS Students.
Orientation Course
Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration, Ahmedabad is also conducting Orientation Course for 300 students (Graduates) on first cum fist basis , to increase awareness about candidates aspiring to Exam (Class 1-2 etc.) conducted by IBPS ,RBI, SBI, LIC etc. SPIPA published advertisement in English & Gujarati News papers in the month of MAY/JUNE every year for inviting candidates to apply for orientation course for those candidates who are interested in orientation course held at SPIPA.
